Dave Firth started his career at Westinghouse design engineering and progressed into sales in the semiconductor market with Fairchild Semiconductor and then LSI Logic where he moved up the sales ranks to run the central region of the US. In 2000 he joined Cadence and became the Motorola/Freescale Global Account Director. He was promoted to Group Director where he ran the North America Enterprise Account Team for Cadence. In 2009 he was hired at a startup enterprise software company called Varicent (purchased by IBM), leading their America’s sales team. In 2011 Dave joined Ansys leading one of the largest regions in the US until 2018. He then moved with his wife to Tokyo to consult for Ansys and eventually lead the APAC team. Dave holds an E.E. Degree from Widener University and is a member of the Tau Beta Pi honor society.
